All surveys are carried out by a Certificated Surveyor in Remedial Treatments (CSRT)

The CSRT the only nationally recognized professional qualification for surveyors in the remedial property industry. The Certificated Surveyor in Remedial Treatment award is made by the Institute of Wood Preserving and Damp-proofing, a registered charity founded in 1930. Candidates sit six hours of written examination and one hour of practical in the identification of timber pests and the causes of damp and their correct treatment; also in law and health and safety. 

 Most surveyors who attain the CSRT qualification are employed in the industry, but chartered surveyors, local authority staff and consultants have passed the examinations as well because they recognize it as the only professional qualification in the industry. 

 Most survey fees are deductible from the cost of works carried out by the company.
